Boys & Girls Club of Nampa Receives a $500 NewcleusGives Donation on Behalf of Clarity Credit Union and Newcleus Credit Union Advisors
Boys & Girls Club of Nampa, a charity dedicated to enabling all young people – especially those who need us most – to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens, receives a $500 NewcleusGives Donation from Newcleus Credit Union Advisors on behalf of Cindy Hodges, HR Director at Clarity Credit Union.
Clarity Credit Union was the winner of the charity check drawing at the MAXX 2021, in Boise, Idaho where Newcleus CU Advisors Director, Tedd Meyer, held the drawing.
Newcleus Credit Union Advisors Managing partner, John Moreno, visited the Boys & Girls Club of Nampa to present the check.
Clarity Credit Union is no stranger to charitable giving. Since 2002, they have raised more than $573,440.00 in support of Credit Union 4Kids and COOP Miracle Match.
This year alone, they have raised $39,200.00 their 21st Annual CU4Kids Charity Golf Tournament.
The mission of the Boys and Girls Club of Nampa (BGCN) is to enable all young people – especially those who need us most – to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. BGCN serves, in particular, low-income families, fulfilling our mission by providing caring and nurturing after-school and summer programs. We use research-based programs to promote academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles including physical and mental health. Most members live in households where all parents are employed, but despite employment, the families still struggle as evidenced by the fact that membership demographics indicate 81% of regular members qualified for free or reduced-price school lunch, pre-pandemic.
Because of the pandemic, the afterschool program became a full-day program and five additional full-day program sites have opened at Nampa schools in partnership with the Nampa School District (NSD) while also operating full-day summer programs in 2020 at four sites. BGCN will continue to adapt and work with the NSD as needed to meet community needs during the pandemic but also have seen the need for some of these programs to continue after the pandemic if funding allows.
Boys and Girls Club Nampa currently serves over 300 kids per day, and more than 1800 members in 2020.
Newcleus is honored to support the charitable efforts of Clarity Credit Union and the great work of the Boys and Girls Club Nampa.
NewcleusGives Program
Here at Newcleus, we care about our local communities. We’ve created a CSR program called NewcleusGives to reflect our passion for philanthropy and assist our partners in creating impactful CSR programs of their own. Through this initiative, we have developed opportunities for team volunteer time, a workplace giving program as well as a gift matching program.
